Gerry Morrissey Chief Quality Officer
Gerry joined Civitas Solutions in 2007 as vice president of quality assurance and service development before assuming his current role as chief quality officer. In addition to overseeing the quality improvement and customer assessment programs, Gerry aligns Civitas’ business objectives with strategies focused on quality improvement.
A state and national human services leader and quality expert, Gerry devoted more than 30 years of his career to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including four years as assistant secretary for Disabilities and Community Services and more than a decade as the commissioner of the Department of Developmental Services. He is past president and board member of the National Association of State Directors of Developmental Disabilities Services (NASDDDS) and the recipient of the Ben Censoni Excellence in Public Service Award. Gerry holds a B.A. in special education from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, an M. Ed. from Antioch University, and an M.P.A. from Harvard University.
